Lezli received her Bachelor of Arts from the Interior Design Program at Mount Mary University in Menomonee Falls, Wisconsin. She started her career in commercial design with Kohl’s Department Stores. For three years she focused on remodeling existing Kohl’s locations across the US. After 9/11 she decided it was time to head back to St. Louis to be closer to family. She took what she thought was a temporary design position with Gegg Design, a residential kitchen, and bath design firm. Things took off and she worked there for 15 years on award-winning projects. Looking for a new challenge she decided to try corporate design at what was then Monsanto and is now Bayer. Designing in the corporate environment has its own challenges but add a pandemic and navigating the hybrid return to work and every day is a new adventure.
