Opening Keynote with Michael Bungay Stanier - "How to Tame Your Advice Monster!"
It turns out adding coaching as a leadership skill is considerably trickier than just explaining the power of curiosity and sharing some excellent questions.

Helping you managers and leaders and individual contributors to be more coach-like requires something deeper and harder than that. It requires them to tame their Advice Monster.

That's no easy thing. We've all spent our lives being encouraged and rewarded for Having The Answers!

In this practical and interactive session, you will

  • Meet your own Advice Monster (and learn which one of the three it is)
  • Wrestle with the difference between Easy Change and Hard Change
  • Identify the most important question that helps drive behavior change
  • And also learn some of those excellent coaching questions

Michael Bungay Stanier is the best-selling author of The Coaching Habit, the best-selling book on coaching this century.  Box of Crayons, the training company he founded, works with organizations such as Microsoft and Salesforce to help them move from advice-driven to curiosity-led.
