Aaron Dimmock will provide a brief overview of Governor Mike Parson’s Missouri Leadership Academy and introduce key Radical Candor concepts, providing tips and tactics to get you started on your Radical Candor journey. Through relatable personal stories, he will provide you with a framework and a shared vocabulary to help you improve your feedback and create a culture of guidance based on the key Radical Candor principles: Caring Personally and Challenging Directly.

Objectives:

Our Speaker
Aaron Dimmock
and his wife, Kim, have been married for over 28 years and are blessed with the presence of four children in their lives – Camden, Kinsey, Amelia and Peyton. A retired Naval Officer and Aviator, Aaron has had the privilege of serving in various managerial and leadership positions for over 25 years.

Most notably, he had the opportunity to serve as the Navy Representative to the Senior Advisor to the Secretary of Defense for Military Professionalism at the Pentagon, the CEO of a Navy Recruiting District, as a mission commander and instructor pilot in multiple tours of duty, and as the Founder and CEO of the Collective Performance Initiative, LLC. He is currently the Director of Governor Mike Parson’s Missouri Leadership Academy, the Director of the Aylstock, Witkin, Kreis & Overholtz Center for Leadership at the University of West Florida, and a Candor Coach for Radical Candor, LLC.

He is on the Board of Advisors for three non-profit organizations: The GATE Project, Veterans and Athletes United, and REACHcycles for Disabled Children.

A 1996 graduate of the United States Naval Academy (B.S. in Ocean Engineering), Aaron is currently working toward his Ph.D. in Public Policy and Administration from Virginia Commonwealth University while studying how candor shapes and sustains group performance.  Additionally, he holds a Masters in Business Administration from Webster University, a Master of Arts in National Security and Strategic Studies from the U.S. Naval War College, and a Master of Public Policy from Georgetown University. His additional research interests include culture, trust, discernment, ethics, leadership, human behavior, conflict resolution, organizational performance, and value creation.
