ELEVATE: Empowering New Energy Leaders
Growing new leaders continues to be one of the biggest people challenges for many companies. Join us for a discussion of how we crafted "ELEVATE", a unique leadership program specifically designed for newly hired and promoted leaders. This presentation will share the meticulous process for developing ELEVATE, from its initial concept to roll-out earlier this year. Discover how we identified our unique leadership challenges and built a robust program that addresses these needs with thoughtful strategies and practical solutions. We'll also share how we used the Agile framework to ensure ELEVATE was both relevant and impactful. Join us to learn more about how we approached the new leader development question with the creation of ELEVATE: New Leader Development Journey.

- Highlight what is delivered during the leadership development journey
- Discuss our use of the Agile project management approach

Alejandro Cornejo is a Leadership & Organizational Effectiveness Consultant at Ameren in St. Louis, Missouri. With a vibrant and diverse background, Alejandro has been a recording artist, worked in music business marketing and promotions, state government, and is an active real estate investor. His journey into personal development began after a life-changing event hearing the legendary Brian Tracy speak, which ignited a passion that continues to drive him today.
At Ameren, Alejandro leads two essential leadership development programs - one for new and newly promoted leaders, and another for seasoned first and second line leaders. Alejandro holds certifications in Crucial Conversations, Korn Ferry 360, Organizational Climate, and Leadership Architect. His academic credentials include a Bachelor of Science in Biology Pre-Med from Xavier University of Louisiana and a Master of Arts in Human Resource Management from Webster University.
Originally from El Salvador, Central America, Alejandro brings a unique perspective to his role. Before Ameren, he made significant strides as a Senior Manager of Corporate Learning at Emerson, training and coaching leaders globally. Outside of work, Alejandro is passionate about his faith and cherishes time with his two wonderful kids, Victor and Saylah.
Ryan McCrea is focused on making an impact by helping organizations maximize and develop talent through creative people solutions. He's passionate about helping others own their career and providing thought leadership on strategic talent management, leadership development, mentoring, team dynamics and culture building.
Ryan is currently the Head of Learning and Leadership Development at Ameren where he leads a team focused on corporate learning and development programs. He is also the current President of the Saint Louis Organization Development Network (STL-ODN). Prior to Ameren, Ryan was Vice President - Manager of Talent Development at Commerce Bank. In this position, he launched a corporate-wide professional development program, while overseeing the strategy around people and leadership growth.
Ryan has certifications in Situational Leadership, 4 Stages of Psychological Safety, DiSC, MBTI and is also a Social and Emotional Intelligence Coach. Ryan received a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Southern Indiana and a Master of Arts in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville.
Ryan lives in St. Louis with his wife, Susan, and two adorable cats, Zooey and Coco. He loves music, movies, fashion, pop culture and art. Ask him about any of these topics and you may never get away.
