This session will equip HR professionals with practical strategies for navigating recent executive orders while maintaining effective workplace inclusion practices. As organizations recalibrate their approaches in response to changing regulations, HR leaders face the critical challenge of adapting DEI initiatives while preserving the core elements that drive organizational performance and belonging.
The session provides a clear roadmap for evaluating current programs against the backdrop of executive orders, identifying which elements remain compliant, and transforming practices that may need adjustment. Participants will explore SHRM's BEAM Framework as a blueprint for developing workplace systems that emphasize skills, capabilities, and performance while fostering inclusive environments where all employees can excel.
Dr. Darryl S. Diggs, Jr. is an experienced educational leader dedicated to equity, inclusion, and reaching our greatest collective outcomes. He holds an Ed.D. in Educational Leadership and has served as a middle and high school administrator. Through his journey in advocacy, Diggs co-founded several organizations driven to connect educators to intentional support and gainful employment. Currently, Dr. Diggs is the Executive Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Accessibility for the Special School District of St. Louis County. His work is deeply connected to building inclusive learning environments and building community. In 2024, Dr. Diggs received the Vocational Excellence Award from Missouri Baptist University, Later this year, Dr. Diggs will author his next book focused on connecting perspective, lived experiences, and voice.
