Carissa Fowler: Human Resources Director at Zeffert & Associates
Carissa Fowler is the dynamic and inspiring Human Resources Director at Zeffert & Associates, where she leads with a focus on diversity, equity, and inclusion. With a career that spans various roles in human resources, Carissa has established herself as a motivational force, known for her impact on numerous jobs, process improvement, and strategic implementation.
Before joining Zeffert & Associates, Carissa co-owned FC&C Interior and Exterior Remodeling, where she honed her leadership and business acumen. Her journey in human resources began with roles ranging from HR Assistant to HR Business Partner (HRBP), each position contributing to her comprehensive understanding of the field.
Carissa's academic background is as impressive as her professional experience. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Southern Illinois University Edwardsville and a Master of Arts in Criminal Justice from American Public University. Additionally, she has earned a Certificate in Human Resources Management from American Public University, where she continues to serve as an Ambassador. Her commitment to excellence is further demonstrated by her membership in the Honor Society for Criminal Justice.
Specializing in recruitment, employee engagement, and DEI efforts, Carissa has made significant contributions to Zeffert & Associates. Her innovative approach and dedication have earned her several awards, including the prestigious "High Achiever" award. Carissa's ability to motivate and inspire her team is a testament to her leadership and passion for creating a positive and inclusive workplace culture.
Outside of her professional life, Carissa enjoys binge-watching crime shows and reality TV, as well as engaging in activities like bowling and skating. These hobbies provide her with a well-rounded perspective and a sense of balance, which she brings to her role in human resources.
