Opening Keynote with Stephen "Shed" Shedletzky, Speaker, Executive Coach & Advisor, InspirAction
We've all heard someone in charge announce, "listen up!"

Leaders Listen.

Too many cultures directly or indirectly punish people for dissenting and speaking up. As soon as you do, you break trust and squash discretionary effort, engagement and innovation all around. Leaders cultivate environments where people feel safe to share how they actually feel and what is true to them, especially if that truth is hard. This is important, now more than ever, as we continue to cope and adapt with the stresses, uncertainties and challenges of today's world of work and beyond.

This interactive keynote session will unpack how leaders can cultivate a psychologically safe environment where Leaders Listen Down. In an office, remote or hybrid setting, creating a work culture where ideas, emotions and feedback are encouraged. Where trust is truly the foundation of what we can accomplish together.

Learning Objectives:

  • Understand the definition and vital importance of Psychological Safety in the workplace
  • Explore the destructive impact of Toxic Positivity on people, teams and cultures
  • Learn tactical and proven methods to listen to your people and cultivate a psychologically safe culture
  • Highlight how trust and safety are good for people and good for business
  • Unpack leaders' responsibility and everyone's opportunity in creating a Listen Down Culture

Lunch Keynote with Ann Marr, Executive Vice President, Global Human Resources, World Wide Technology
They say success is a journey, not a destination.  Our luncheon keynote speaker embraces this mantra as her guiding philosophy.  Join us at lunch to hear Ann Marr, Chief Human Resources Officer at World Wide Technology, share her very inspiring career journey as she took a risk 24 years ago to leave one of the region’s most well-respected Fortune 500 companies to join a “small tech start up.”  She says her friends thought she was crazy…well perhaps…but when you hear Ann’s story, you will understand why it was one of the best decisions she ever made.
